Pre-S proteins (i.e. pre-S1 and S2 protein) are the products of S region of Hepatitis B virus (HBV), playing an important role in the mechanisms of the attachment and invasion of HBV to hepatocytes. The presence of pre-S1 and S2 antigens in serum is an indicator for the active replication of HBV.
Using sandwich ELISA, the Kinghawk pre-S antigens of HBV detect kit, applying monoclonal anti-pre-S antibodies and polyclonal anti-pre-S antibodies as solidified antibodies and enzyme-labeled antibodies respectively, tests pre-S antigens of HBV in human serum or plasma by TMB substrate. Pre-S antigens indicate the infection and replication of HBV. The test of pre-S antigens assists the early diagnosis, prognosis, and effects of drug treatment to HBV.
